Brand: Elements
ELEMENTS AS270 is a single component Acetic cure silicone sealant which vulcanizes on exposure to moisture in the air at room temperature, to produce a flexible elastomeric sealant.
It is suitable for all common construction and glazing application. It is easy to apply and offers excellent adhesion to a variety of nonporous substrates such as glass, glazed ceramic tiles and aluminum. It is resistant to ozone, ultra-violet radiation and temperature extremes.
Easy – to – use one component type.
Antifungal to suit sanitary and wet area applications.
Cures at room temperature at ambient humidity conditions.
Outstanding adhesiveness to many non-porous substrates, including Glass, Glazed Ceramics, Aluminum, Masonry, some Plastics etc.
All temperature gun ability – can be applied in all temperatures.
Excellent resistance to weathering, moisture, ozone, UV, temperature Extremes etc.
Type: 100% silicone 1 component
Appearance: Smooth, non-slump paste
Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be clean and dry and free of dust, dirt, and grease.
Priming is normally not required for applications to nonporous surfaces. Applying a small trial bead and allowing 7 days for maximum adhesion to occur can easily test unprimed adhesion. If primer is required contact manufacturer.
Application
ELEMENTS AS270 is ready-to-use requires no mixing or additives. The cure mechanism begins as soon as the sealant comes in contact with air. Higher humidity accelerates cure, and curing time is increased with the thickness of the sealant.
In applications where partial or total confinement of sealant is prevalent, the time required for proper cure is generally lengthened by the degree of confinement.
Tooling, if necessary, should be done before “skinning” takes place.
Packing
ELEMENTS AS270 is available in standard caulking cartridges. Other sizes like sausage and tubes are available upon request.
Health and Safety
ELEMENTS AS270 releases small amounts of acetic acid during cure. Adequate ventilation should be provided with the extensive use of this sealant.
Keep Out of Reach of Children.
Storage and Shelf life
ELEMENTS AS270 cartridge should always be stored in dry and covered areas. The product should not be exposed to direct sunlight or be kept near any source of heat. Store in indoor at 25 C.
The product Shelf life is up to 12 months when stored as per the recommended storage conditions.
